Arabic Legacy - العربية والأخلاق الإسلامية
The Arabic Legacy Course Arabic language learning with Islamic morals and etiquette, providing a comprehensive and meaningful experience. Students will develop skills in basic reading and writing, while exploring values rooted in Islamic teachings. The curriculum includes practical language exercises, memorization of short Surahs, learning essential Duas, and selected verses from the Qur’an.
By the end of the course, students will gain proficiency in basic Arabic and deepen their connection to Islamic values, fostering both linguistic competence and spiritual growth.
Course Outcomes for Level 1
Upon completing the book, the student will be able to:
- Read and write words and sentences with both long and short vowel marks.
- Memorize 300 commonly used Arabic words.
- Confidently introduce themselves and speak about their family.
- Memorize Surah Al-Fatihah and Surahs from Al-Nas to Al-Adiyat.
- Understand and practice the steps of Wudu (ablution) and Salah (prayer), both theoretically and practically.
- Memorize the key supplications for Salah and other essential Duas.
- Learn important Hadiths and Duas relevant to daily life.
- Gain knowledge of the name, lineage, and birth of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
Course Outcomes for Level 2
- Read words, sentences, and paragraphs with Alif-Lam, Tanween, and Shaddah correctly.
- Write words and sentences containing Alif-Lam, Tanween, and Shaddah accurately.
- Memorize 150 commonly used Arabic words.
- Speak correctly about their daily life from morning to evening.
- Use commonly used phrases and sentences in conversation.
- Learn and conjugate frequently used verbs.
- Understand and study the basics of Arabic grammar, including singular, dual, and plural nouns, and past, present, and imperative verbs.
- Recognize and use basic structures such as directions, colors, and other essential expressions.
- Learn the jurisprudence of Ghusl (ritual washing) from Janabah (major impurity).
- Memorize Surahs from Az-Zalzalah to Al-A'la.
- Memorize the morning and evening supplications (Adhkar).
- Memorize ten Hadiths of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
- Learn about key Islamic values and ethics.
- Learn about the Prophets Noah, Ibrahim, Musa, Isa, and Muhammad (peace be upon them).
